Babar, Abdullah among 11 players to attend red ball camp in Lahore on Sept 9

LAHORE: The National Cricket Academy Red Ball Camp will begin in Lahore on Tuesday, September 9.

Eleven cricketers will participate in the camp and report on Monday, September 8. The camp, which will continue till September 28, will be supervised by Interim Red Ball Head Coach Azhar Mahmood, along with NCA coaches and support staff.

The camp is designed to help players work on their skills as well as assess their fitness ahead of a busy Red Ball international and domestic season. The selected players are those who are not involved in the ongoing Hanif Muhammad Trophy (four-day).

The players will train at the National Cricket Academy during the 20-day camp and will also participate in scenario-based matches.

Players participating in the camp include Abdullah Shafiq, Ali Raza, Azan Owais, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Hurairah, Muhammad Salman, Rohail Nazir, Sajid Khan and Shamail Hussain.
