Pakistan backs Iran-US dialogue for regional stability

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed the recent talks between Iran and the United States, which took place in Muscat, Oman, on April 12, 2025.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the pursuit of dialogue and diplomacy was a necessity to foster peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan extolled Oman for advancing these talks and encouraged the parties to stay on this course. The discussions centered on regional security, specifically nuclear issues, and both sides agreed to revive discussions in the coming weeks.
Iranian officials have called the talks constructive, while the US delegation offered no readout. Pakistan has long supported diplomatic processes to resolve international disputes, asserting that there is usually an avenue of understanding that leads to collaborative solutions.
The Foreign Office stated that sustained diplomatic processes would lead to long-term stability in the Middle East.This development signals a stronger orientation toward having a diplomatic dialogue between Iran and the US, with relations oscillating throughout time.
Regional cooperation and international resolution will be necessary to pursue peace in the ongoing crises. Pakistan remains committed to pursuing peaceful dialogue and endorsing an emphasis on resolving disputes through political channels.
