ISLAMABAD: After Iran attacked the US air base in Qatar, the national airline cancelled its flight operations from Pakistan to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai.
The PIA spokesperson said that the decision to cancel the flights was made due to the war situation in the Gulf countries.
The spokesperson said that the national airline’s flights will resume after the situation returns to normal.
It should be remembered that Iran fired ballistic missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq some time ago, according to the American news website, Iran fired 6 ballistic missiles towards Qatar.
After the Iranian attacks, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in its statement that Qatar had evacuated the US military base in Al-Udeid as a precautionary security measure.
Qatar has also claimed that its air defense system has destroyed a missile fired towards the US Al-Udeid air base.
Meanwhile, the air defense system has been activated at the US Ain Al-Sadd air base in Iraq, while the personnel there have also been instructed to go to bunkers.
