ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Health Coordinator Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed inaugurated the Syrian Outpatient Department (OPD) services at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) here on Monday.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Ahmed said that the aim of this initiative is to meet the needs of patients who are unable to seek medical care during regular working hours, which will help to provide effective healthcare services to the public. It is an important step in the commitment of the federal government.
Federal Secretary of Health Iftikhar Ali Shalvani, along with senior officials and the Prime Minister’s Health Coordinator, made a comprehensive visit to various departments in PIMs. The opening of the Syrian OPD underlines the government’s proactive approach to healthcare delivery and its commitment to ensure quality services for all citizens. Dr. Ahmed also reviewed the quality of healthcare services provided by PIMS, including patient care, infrastructure, medical equipment, and staff qualifications.
