MAKKAH: As part of his continuing official visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif performed Umrah alongside members of the Pakistani delegation.
Special prayers were offered during the journey for the oppressed people of Gaza, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
The prime minister is leading a high-level delegation to the Kingdom to discuss bilateral in the meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday departed for Jeddah on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will hold a special meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.
In a press release, a foreign office spokesperson said that during his visit, both sides will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and regional peace and security.
The Prime Minister will also express gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its constructive role in de-escalating the recent Pakistan-India conflict.
