PM Shehbaz Sharif set to address UN General Assembly today

NEW YORK: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will address the United Nations General Assembly this evening.

According to Geo News, after meeting US President Trump in Washington, the Prime Minister has reached New York, where he will address the United Nations General Assembly this evening.

In his address to the General Assembly, the Prime Minister will discuss the issues of Kashmir and Palestine, while he will also highlight important issues, including the Pakistan-India tension.

Officials say that the Prime Minister is also likely to highlight issues related to peace in the Middle East.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had an important meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, US Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were also present in the meeting.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister and the US President met in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

The Prime Minister described the US President as a bearer of peace.

The two leaders also discussed regional security, including counter-terrorism cooperation. The Prime Minister thanked President Trump for his public endorsement of Pakistan’s role in counter-terrorism and stressed the need to further enhance cooperation in security and intelligence.
