PML-N announces candidates for Gilgit-Baltistan polls

GILGIT BALTISTAN: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif has issued party tickets for the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections, finalizing candidates for multiple constituencies across the region.

According to the announced list, Shafiquddin has been nominated from GBA-1 Gilgit-1, while former GB chief minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman will contest from GBA-2 Gilgit-2. Mohammad Iqbal was awarded the ticket for GBA-3 Gilgit-3 and Prince Salem for GBA-6 Hunza-6.

For the Skardu region, Muhammad Akbar Khan, Imtiaz Haider Khan, and Ajmal Hussain have been nominated for GBA-7, GBA-8, and GBA-9, respectively, while Syed Mohsin Rizvi will contest from GBA-10 Kharmang.

Muhammad Tahir Anhar Shigari received the ticket for GBA-12 Shigar, Farman Ali for GBA-13 Astore-1, and Rana Muhammad Farooq for GBA-14 Astore-2.

In Diamer, Abdul Wajad, Engineer Mohammad Anwar, Muhammad Zaman, and Malik Kafayatur Rehman were nominated for constituencies GBA-15 to GBA-18, respectively.

Meanwhile, Zafar Muhammad, Abdul Jahan, and Ghulam Mohammad were awarded tickets for the three Ghizer constituencies, while Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai was nominated from GBA-22 Ghanche-1.
