LAHORE: Lahore Traffic Police has revealed an updated traffic plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic as the Pakistan Super League 10 (PSLX) arrives in Lahore with a full schedule of thrilling matches.

All the matches are scheduled during the day and night, beginning at 7:00 p.m., which raises concerns about overlapping school and match traffic in the city.

Mall road, Canal road, Jail road, and other main roadways of the city will remain open during the PSL matches, according to Traffic Control officials.

The roads will only be closed to traffic temporarily during the movement of the teams to the hotel from the stadiums and vice versa. However, these movements will be quick and organized to prevent needless inconvenience.

Earlier, the government announced new school hours from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from April 24 to May 18 for the educational institutes in the proximity of the Gaddafi Stadium inorder to minimize time conflicts with the teams movement.

The decision was taken after a brief consultation with the municipal authorities and city planners following the recent inspection of the nearby areas around the stadiums.

Lahore will begin hosting the PSL on April 24, when the Lahore Qalandars will lock horns against Peshawar Zalmi. The grand finale, scheduled for May 18, will also take place in Lahore’s renowned stadium, as the Stadium is set to host 34 matches of the current edition.
