LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party has announced to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore after 40 years.

According to the party leadership, a historic convention and rally will be held at Minar-e-Pakistan Ground on July 25, while the program will continue until the night between July 25 and 26.

PPP leader Faisal Mir said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto last addressed a historic rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 10, 1986, after which now, after almost four decades, the party is again organizing a public gathering at the same place.

He said that the July 25 rally will be an important milestone in the party’s political activities, in which a large number of workers and leaders will participate.

Faisal Mir said that in connection with the preparations for the rally, the Pakistan Peoples Party has also released a special anthem, while organizational activities and arrangements are being finalized in Lahore.

It should be noted that a historic and memorable rally was organized by the Pakistan People’s Party at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore, on April 10, 1986. This rally was organized to welcome former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on her return from exile, in which millions of people participated.

Benazir Bhutto arrived in Lahore on April 10, 1986, where a huge crowd of people was present on the way from the airport to Minar-e-Pakistan. According to political analysts, this was the largest public gathering in the country’s history.

Such a large number of people gathered in this welcome procession that it took Benazir Bhutto several hours to travel from the airport to Minar-e-Pakistan.
