PPP Forms 17-Member Parliamentary Board for AJK Elections 2026

MUZAFFARABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has constituted a 17-member parliamentary board for the allocation of party tickets ahead of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Elections 2026.

According to party sources, an important meeting of the parliamentary board will be held on June 27 at Zardari House in Islamabad, where decisions regarding party tickets for various constituencies will be finalized. All ticket aspirants have been directed to attend the meeting.

The parliamentary board includes Faryal Talpur, Syed Nayyar Bukhari, Humayun Khan, Chaudhry Yasin, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Qamar Zaman, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood, Nisar Khuhro, Sardar Umar Gorjani, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, and Chaudhry Riaz, among other senior party leaders.

The formation of the board is being viewed as a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming AJK elections, with ticket distribution expected to play a crucial role in shaping the electoral contest.
