ISLAMABAD: PPP leader Nadeem Afzal Chan has claimed that according to my information, Sohail Afridi will not become the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it will be decided by tomorrow who will become the Chief Minister.

In a statement, he said that the opposition will definitely bring its representative, there may be a surprise, 2 days are very important for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

How will the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa be elected?

Ali Amin Gandapur announced his resignation from the post of Chief Minister and he will send his resignation to the Governor tomorrow, Thursday. After which the Governor will sign the resignation summary within 48 hours and approve the resignation.

After the resignation of the Chief Minister is accepted, the cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be dissolved. After the resignation is approved, the nomination of the new Chief Minister will be ratified in the parliamentary party meeting.

An assembly session will be called by the Speaker to elect the nominated Chief Minister. And then the nominated Chief Minister will have to prove his majority through voting in the assembly session.

The total number of members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly is 145. And the support of 73 members is required for a majority. Currently, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has a majority of more than 90 members.
