PPP names Chaudhry Yasin as AJK Prime Minister candidate

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has chosen Chaudhry Yasin as its candidate for the office of AJK Prime Minister.

According to sources, the decision was made during a meeting at Zardari House, when PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari publicly declared Yaseen’s candidacy in front of the party’s AJK leaders.

Sources say that the PPP considered four names for the prime ministership. The names of Chaudhry Yasin, Latif Akbar, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore and Sardar Yaqoob were considered.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is likely to present a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Anwarul Haq by Thursday or Friday, according to sources.

The PPP has accepted Barrister Sultan Mahmood as the President of Azad Kashmir in the future.

According to sources, the PPP will present a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Anwarul Haq within the next two days.

Consultations are being held with the Prime Ministerial candidate for the formation of the cabinet, and the cabinet will be announced along with the election of the Prime Minister.

According to sources, the PPP has a clear majority, with 36 votes after the support of the Muslim League, and the strategy of not revealing the name of the Prime Ministerial candidate prematurely will be adopted.
