ISLAMABAD: Qamar Zaman Kaira, a senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has voiced disapproval regarding the extension of Air Chief Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar’s tenure.

During an interview on ABN News program ‘Sawal? Sy Agy’, Kaira expressed his concerns, stating that extending the Air Chief’s tenure for one year is not a favorable decision. He emphasized that this practice could lead to disharmony within institutions, highlighting that there was no discussion within the Air Force regarding this matter.

Kaira suggested that it would have been better if the Air Chief had completed his tenure and retired as scheduled, rather than opting for an extension. He indicated that the decision made by the government was not conducive, despite any potential pressures.
