PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has introduced a Ramadan package worth Rs8 billion to offer relief to residents of the province during the sacred month of fasting.
Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzammil Aslam has stated that the provincial government has allocated funds for this initiative, with an additional Rs5 billion earmarked to restart the health card program.
Under the Ramadan package, each deserving family will receive Rs10,000 to alleviate financial burdens during the holy month.
Aslam criticized the Sindh and Punjab governments for offering relief packages of Rs3,500 and Rs5,000, respectively, emphasizing that the KP government’s package is more substantial.
The advisor clarified that families with a monthly income below Rs27,000 are eligible to receive the Rs10,000 aid under the Ramadan package.
