President Zardari awarded Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak with Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military

ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari honored the Chief of the Turkish General Staff, General Metin Gürak, with the Nishan-e-Imitiaz Military Award here at the President House Islamabad.

According to the details, General Metin Gürak is famous throughout Turkey for his courage and bravery, and he played an important role in establishing peace and stability in his country.

He served in several important positions in the Turkish Army and was promoted to the rank of General Staff in 2020, where he served as the Second Army Commander, followed by the Chief of Staff in August last year.

Speaking about his services in the ceremony, it was further said that General Metin Gürak is a sincere friend of Pakistan who played an important role in strengthening the defense relations between the two brotherly countries.

In recognition of his services, President Asif Ali Zardari awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military to him.
