President Zardari tests positive for coronavirus

KARACHI: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and is currently in isolation, confirmed his physician Dr Asim Hussain.

The media could not be loaded, either due to server or network failure or the format is not supported. He added that President Zardari is being closely monitored, several tests have been conducted to assess his condition.

He said that the President is under the supervision of infectious disease specialists in a private hospital. All meetings with the President have been strictly prohibited due to his health.

President Asif Ali Zardari is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Karachi. Dr. Asim Hussain added that the President has been tested, he is being closely monitored. It is important to note that President Zardari was recently shifted from Nawabshah to Karachi due to poor health and is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Earlier, Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had dismissed reports claiming that President Asif Ali Zardari had been shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for treatment. The minister took to social media platform X to refute the false report. He wrote that the reports of President Asif Ali Zardari being shifted to Dubai for treatment are false, his health is improving and he will recover very soon.
