LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on September 15 and has submitted a formal request to the district administration of Lahore for permission to hold the rally.
In the petition submitted by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan to the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, relevant articles and decisions of the Supreme Court regarding allowing public gatherings have been cited.
This decision has come after PTI cancelled the rally in Lahore on August 27 due to non-permission.
Earlier, the party had also cancelled a planned rally in Islamabad on August 22. The rally is now scheduled to take place on September 8.
