ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to hire individuals with master’s degrees as College Teacher Interns (CTIs) rather than recruiting regular lecturers, here on Wednesday.

As per the media reports, HEC has decided to hire Master’s degree holders as College Teacher Interns (CTIs) instead of recruiting regular lecturers.

A summary has been submitted for approval, which plans to appoint CTIs for eight months.

These interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000, and the recruitment process is expected to begin next month.

However, the department will not hire regular lecturers through the Public Service Commission, which may pose challenges for many unemployed master’s degree holders.
