PTI unites under founder amid internal resistance, faces legal battles: Ali Zafar

ISLAMABAD (ABN News) PTI parliamentary leader Senator Ali Zafar has said that all decisions within the PTI are made after thorough consultation and discussion, and once the party founder gives the final decision, the entire party stands united on a single stance.

He said that there is still some level of resistance within the party, but overall organizational continuity is maintained. Ali Zafar said that other parties have also realized the internal differences of the PTI and that is why the founder of the PTI has taken important decisions.

He said that the party leadership has decided to include new faces to avoid external pressure. Such people are being brought in who are difficult to file cases against so that political and legal complications can be avoided. He said that steps are being taken to restore transparency and trust and those who supported the party in difficult times have proven their loyalty.

Senator Ali Zafar said that the video trial is an unconstitutional and illegal measure. and a voice was raised against it in the court. According to the constitution, no accused can be tried in his absence. He said that a transparent trial is not possible on WhatsApp or online platforms, so the cabinet withdrew the decision of the video trial and now the hearing is being held in jail, which is relatively better. He said that PTI has prepared a strategy at all levels, legal, political and public. If problems arise, a legal battle will also be fought and a public response will also be given. Ali Zafar said that the series of arrests of PTI workers has intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including many important leaders including Sanam Javed.

He said that serious questions are being raised on the government’s writ, while differences between the PPP and the PML-N are deepening. The PPP also criticized the PML-N on the floor of the House and now a clear political distance is visible instead of a friendly opposition.
