Islamabad: PTI’s Tayyaba Raja has voiced strong criticism against the nomination of Sanam Javed for a Senate seat by the party. In a statement shared on social media platform Twitter, Tayyaba condemned Sanam’s nomination, stating that it shouldn’t be based on the sacrifices of others.

Raising concerns, Tayyaba questioned how Sanam Javed managed to secure bail multiple times from the anti-terrorism court despite being arrested on eight occasions. She highlighted the stark contrast with her own experience, where bail for individuals like Aliya Hamza and herself was granted by the Lahore High Court after considerable struggle.

Tayyaba also questioned the disproportionate media coverage, expressing bewilderment over the attention given to one individual while others remain unnoticed. She hinted at a collective silence prevailing until the return of Imran Khan, suggesting that voices will be raised in due time.
