Islamabad: With Senate elections scheduled for April 2nd, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized its candidates for the upper house of parliament.
Despite facing challenges, PTI’s founding chairman, Imran Khan, selected candidates from various regions. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Irfan Saleem, Khurram Zeeshan, and Azhar Mashwani will contest for general seats. Azam Swati and Irshad Hussain are nominated for technocrat seats, while Ayesha Banu and Rubina Naz will vie for reserved seats.
In Punjab, PTI’s candidates include Hamid Khan and Zulfi Bukhari for general seats, Dr. Yasmin Rashid for technocrat seat, and Sanam Javed for women-reserved seat.

The elections for 48 vacant Senate seats are scheduled to take place on April 2nd in the National Assembly, Senate, and the legislatures of all four provinces.

Nomination papers can be submitted until Saturday, with scrutiny scheduled for March 19th. The final list of candidates will be released on March 26th, and withdrawals can be made by March 27th.
