KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on September 17 (Tuesday) across the province on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi.

A notification issued by the Sindh government stated that Tuesday, September 17, would be observed as a public holiday across the province.  All educational institutions and government offices will remain closed on 12th Rabiul Awal.

The federal and Punjab governments have already declared a public holiday on Sep 7 on account of Eid Miladun Nabi.

The 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi, holds great significance in the Islamic calendar. It is a day of deep reflection and celebration, as it marks the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), whose life and teachings influence billions of people around the world.

In Pakistan, this day is traditionally celebrated with great devotion through processions, special prayers, and religious gatherings.
