UMERKOT: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday in the Umerkot district on April 17 in view of the by-elections.

The district administration declared a holiday for the smooth conduct of the by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-213 Umerkot.

The by-elections were announced after Nawab Yousuf Talpur, who was elected as a Member of the National Assembly from NA-213 Umerkot district in the 2024 general elections, passed away in February this year.

This seat fell vacant after the death of Talpur, for which a by-election will be held on April 17.
