LAHORE: The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ordered the closure of private and public educational institutions across several Punjab districts including Lahore and Faisalabad from tomorrow i.e. November 7th till November 17, 2024.

The notification issued by the Director General EPA stated, “all educational institutions, including private tuition centers (public/private) up to Higher Secondary Level (12th Grade/ A-level) shall remain closed and will shift to online mode.”
To protect students from the toxic smog, the schools and colleges will be closed in four divisions — Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Gujranwala. The order will come into effect from November 7, 2024 (Thursday) and will remain in force till November 17, 2024 (Sunday), the notification read.
The classes will be shifted online in territorial jurisdictions of Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahudin, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari and Khanewal.
