LAHORE: The Punjab Government announced the summer vacations for schools in the province on Friday due to the rising temperatures.
A notification has been issued in this regard by the provincial education department.
According to the notification, the summer holidays in all private and public schools will start from June 1, 2024 till August 14, 2024.
Schools will resume their educational activities from August 15, the notification said.

Earlier, the provincial government decided to change the school timings due to increasing heat in the province.
As per the notification from the Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department, schools across the province will now run from 07:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday to Saturday, without any breaks.
These new timings will be in effect immediately until October 15, 2024.
