Punjab CM pays tribute to first female pilot Marium Mukhtiar on her death anniversary

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has a heartfelt and moving tribute to Marium Mukhtiar, the first woman pilot of Pakistan to make the very ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Marium Mukhtiar, with her admiration, rose high, noting that she has demonstrated that daughters are as capable as any citizen of building and defending their homeland.

The chief minister praised Marium’s courage in her heroic act of saving a plane in its crash with people living below. CM Maryam took note of this heroic deed, establishing an everlasting example of sacrifice and devotion to one’s homeland. She said that daughters like Marium Mukhtiar are the pride of every nation.

CM Maryam also expressed her recognition of the important contribution women are making in such institutions as the army, as soldiers alongside men demonstrating their capabilities.

She said, “Every daughter of our nation is a pride for Pakistan.” She concluded, saying that Marium Mukhtiar’s sacrifice for her beloved motherland is an act of dedication that is unusual and extraordinary and will always be remembered.
