Punjab on high alert amid intensified security operations

LAHORE: Amidst the current national security concerns, Punjab has been put on high alert, with intelligence-led operations being intensified across the province.

According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, security forces are actively conducting search and sweep operations to thwart potential threats and criminal activities. A total of 436 operations and 8 security exercises were conducted across Punjab in the last 24 hours.

Latest Update Regarding Arrests & Seizures

During these operations, law enforcement agencies successfully arrested 38 declared suspects involved in serious crimes and detained 123 suspects. Authorities also confiscated:

  • 2 Kalashnikov rifles
  • 12 shotguns
  • 20 handguns
  • Hundreds of rounds of ammunition

Additionally, a significant crackdown on drug-related activities led to the seizure of:

  • 43 kg of hashish
  • 2 kg of heroin
  • 560 grams of crystal meth (Ice)

Security forces remain vigilant, ensuring the safety and stability of Punjab in light of the evolving security scenario.
