LAHORE: Amidst the current national security concerns, Punjab has been put on high alert, with intelligence-led operations being intensified across the province.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, security forces are actively conducting search and sweep operations to thwart potential threats and criminal activities. A total of 436 operations and 8 security exercises were conducted across Punjab in the last 24 hours.
Latest Update Regarding Arrests & Seizures
During these operations, law enforcement agencies successfully arrested 38 declared suspects involved in serious crimes and detained 123 suspects. Authorities also confiscated:
- 2 Kalashnikov rifles
- 12 shotguns
- 20 handguns
- Hundreds of rounds of ammunition
Additionally, a significant crackdown on drug-related activities led to the seizure of:
- 43 kg of hashish
- 2 kg of heroin
- 560 grams of crystal meth (Ice)
