RAWALPINDI: Digital traffic challan “One App” has been launched in Rawalpindi.
According to the traffic police, for the first time in Rawalpindi, an evidence-based traffic enforcement system has been implemented, challans with video evidence, transparency will be ensured.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, video recording of traffic violations will be secure and verifiable, verification of identity card, driving license and FIR will also be done on the spot, and there will be immediate verification of vehicle ownership, fitness certificate and route permit.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, digital action will also be taken on encroachments and environmental violations, e-challan, FIR status and criminal record will also be checked under the integrated system, details of traffic violations will be received by citizens through QR code.
CTO Farhan Aslam said that digital evidence will ensure transparent and non-discriminatory enforcement, the implementation of One App will promote discipline and safe travel on the roads.
