KARACHI: A shocking incident of robbery has been reported in Karachi, where a trader was robbed of 35 iPhones worth over 6 million rupees.
According to Muhammad Rizwan Irfan, President of the Electronics Market Association, the trader was traveling from Karachi to Rahim Yar Khan after purchasing the iPhones from the Saddar Mobile Market. However, he fell prey to robbers near the Water Pump area of Karachi.
The robbers made off with the iPhones, leaving the trader with significant financial losses. This incident marks the 15th similar case involving traders, raising serious concerns about the safety and security of business owners in the city.
Irfan confirmed that a case regarding the incident is being registered at the Samanabad Police Station.
This is not the first incident of mobile snatching from traders in Karachi. Earlier this year, robbers looted a shop located in the Z-2 area of Gulshan-e-Maymar, making off with cash and box-packed mobile phones worth millions.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed armed bandits arriving at the shop in disguise and looting the cash and goods. The incident highlights the need for increased security measures to protect business owners and their assets.
The repeated incidents of robbery and snatching have created a sense of fear and insecurity among traders and business owners in Karachi. The authorities must take immediate action to address the issue and ensure the safety and security of the business community.
