ISLAMABAD: Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Salman Akram Raja has resigned from his party position on Thursday, informed sources told Daily Ausaf.
Senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja submitted his resignation to the party leadership following criticism over his failure to mobilising PTI workers in Punjab’s capital, Lahore.
In a conversation with a private media channel, party chairman Barrister Gohar confirmed receiving Salman Akram Raja’s resignation. However, he confirmed that his resignation has not been accepted yet.
Former prime minister and party founder Imran Khan appointed senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja as the party’s secretary general in September following the resignation of senior leader and lawmaker Omar Ayub Khan.
