Quetta: Sarfraz Bugti, representing the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has secured the position of Chief Minister in Balochistan unopposed, marking a significant development in the province’s political scene.
As the sole candidate for the role, Bugti submitted his nomination papers by the deadline of 5 pm, with no other contenders in sight.
In a statement to journalists, Bugti expressed gratitude for the opportunity and outlined his priorities, which include tackling corruption and improving law and order in Balochistan. He acknowledged the challenges ahead and affirmed his commitment to addressing them effectively.
