ISLAMABAD: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has banned people suffering from diseases from performing Hajj, saying that only healthy and fit people will be allowed to participate in Hajj 2025.
As per the media reports, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has sent a health advisory to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding Hajj 2025, in which Pakistan has been told that people with complex medical conditions will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
According to the religious affairs spokesman, the Saudi government has said in an advisory that due to bad weather, only healthy and fit pilgrims will be allowed to go on Hajj.
People suffering from complex conditions like kidney, heart, lung, liver diseases and cancer will not be allowed to go for Hajj.
The spokesman also said that people suffering from dementia and communicable diseases like tuberculosis, whooping cough and others will not be allowed to go on Hajj.
Apart from this, children below 12 years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to go on Hajj.
The spokesman further said that immunization against meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza and polio will be mandatory for the pilgrims.
