LAHORE: Sher Shah Khan, the second son of Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, was arrested by the police on Friday.
According to family sources, the plainclothes officers stopped Aleema Khan’s son’s vehicle and forcibly took him away.
Aleema Khan’s husband was driving the vehicle at the time of his son’s arrest.
It should be noted that Aleema Khan’s son, Shah Rez Azeem, who was involved in the violent incidents of May 9, was also arrested yesterday.
The police presented Shah Rez Azeem in the Anti-Terrorism Court, where a request was made for a 30-day physical remand of the accused; however, the court granted an 8-day physical remand of Imran Khan’s nephew.
During the hearing, the lawyer said that the accused Shah Rez was brought to the court premises an hour ago and has been sitting in a van with prisoners until now. It is requested that the accused Shah Rez be taken out of the van and brought to the Bakshi Khana.
The court summoned the DSP Security and asked him who brought the accused. On the court’s order, DSP Security appeared and said that the accused had been transferred to the Bakshi Khana.
The police, while requesting physical remand, said that the accused is involved in the May 9 case. The accused was arrested at his house last night.
Lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that till today, we did not know that Shah Reez was also an accused; he was implicated after 27 months, while he was not involved in any way.
The prosecutor said that the name of the accused is included in the remaining cases.
Lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that yesterday, the PTI founder was granted bail, and in the evening, he raided his sister’s house, entered through the kitchen and reached the bed, and kidnapped her.
The accused was in Chitral from May 6 to May 13, so the accused should be discharged from the case.
On the police’s request for the remand of Shah Reez Azeem, the court gave a reserved verdict and handed over the accused to the police on a 8-day physical remand.
