Security forces neutralize three Khawarij during IBO in Tank

RAWALPINDI: Three Khawarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Tank district, here on Saturday.

A statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) said that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Tank district on information about the presence of Khawarij.

According to the ISPR, during the operation, security personnel effectively targeted the Khawarij hideout, as a result of which three Khawarij were killed.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Khawarij during the operation. The slain Khawarij were involved in several terrorist acts against security forces as well as innocent civilians.

According to the ISPR, a sanitization operation was also conducted in the area to eliminate any possible outsiders. The security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
