Ramadan 2025: Check latest update on Peoples Bus Service timings in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced the extension of the working hours of the People’s Bus Service in Karachi during the month of Ramadan.

The provincial minister said that the bus service, which will start from 15th Ramadan, will run till late at night to facilitate the people before Eid.

He added that the government can suspend the business operations of any institution that fails to pay salaries to its employees.

Furthermore, the provincial minister clarified that the PPP has a strong stance on canals, especially opposing the Cholistan Canal.

He also commented on the recent distribution of ministries to MQM leaders. He said that they have a right to the ministries because they are part of the government.

The People’s Bus Service in Karachi is a public transport initiative launched by the Sindh government to provide affordable and efficient travel options for the people of Karachi, especially during peak hours. It aims to address the city’s severe traffic congestion and inadequate public transport system.

The service operates on several major routes across Karachi, connecting major residential, commercial and industrial areas. These routes are designed to meet the daily transportation needs of the population, especially those who travel to busy areas such as Saddar, Korangi, Malir and others.
