Sialkot International airport achieves milestone in runway rehabilitation

Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) is proud to announce one of its most significant achievements in 2024.The completion of a major rehabilitation project for its runway, spanning 79,000 square feet, within a record time of just 13 days.

This incredible feat was accomplished entirely with SIAL’s resources and arrangements, highlighting the airport’s dedication to operational efficiency, safety, and modernization.

This milestone is proof of the teamwork and commitment of SIAL’s staff, engineers, and contractors who worked around the clock to ensure the timely completion of this project.

Despite the complexity and scale of the rehabilitation, the swift execution of the project ensured minimal disruption to flight operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.

“Completing such a large-scale rehabilitation project in such a short timeframe is a remarkable achievement for our team,” said Chairman SIAL, Hassan Ali Bhatti.

The successful completion of the runway rehabilitation positions Sialkot International Airport as a key player in Pakistan’s aviation sector, enabling it to cater to increasing air traffic demand while ensuring the safety and reliability of airport operations.
