ISLAMABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council central leader and member of the National Assembly Sahibzada Hamid Raza was arrested from Faisalabad.
According to sources, Sahibzada Hamid was wanted by the police in several cases and has been convicted by the court.
Police sources say that the police have arrested Hamid Raza and shifted him to Faisalabad Central Jail.
Cases were registered against him for attacking sensitive institutions during the protest movements, for which a local court sentenced him to 40 years in prison.
Sources say that the police had been trying to arrest him for a long time, but his arrest was not being implemented.
It should be remembered that Sahibzada Hamid Raza resigned from the post of Information Secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain Pakistan in September this year.
In this regard, Sahibzada Hamid Raza said that he resigned from the post of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan on the instructions of the party.
