KARACHI: The government of Sindh has announced a new initiative to support the province’s aging population by introducing Senior Citizen Cards, designed to provide essential social security benefits.
Organized by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the program will distribute cards to eligible senior citizens. In its initial phase, the scheme will benefit around 250,000 senior citizens across Sindh.
Senior citizen cards will offer various benefits, including access to health care services, discounts on public transportation, and other essential services, ensuring greater support and a better quality of life for older residents. This move underscores the government’s commitment to meeting the unique needs of its aging population.
By offering social security through these cards, Sindh is taking an important step towards promoting respect, support and care for its senior citizens.
