Siren activated in parts of Lahore & Islamabad as Pakistan shot Indian drones

LAHORE: As Pakistan armed forces foiled the drone attempts by India in Walton Road in the Gopal Nagar, the sirens have been activated in different areas of Lahore and Islamabad, according to a media report.

The activation of  Sirens in the Federal Capital is part of a civil defence drill, and no drone has hit any area in Islamabad.

A large number of people came out of their homes in panic as they heard the Sirens being activated in the city, the report said

However, in Lahore, Police sources said the drone, measuring 5 to 6 feet, was being operated from across the border. The drone was shot down by jamming the system, the sources added.

Earlier, India attempted to infiltrate various cities with drones, which were foiled by Pakistan as the armed forces were on full alert, and the Wreckage of downed Indian drones is being collected in various cities, added the DG ISPR.

Indian drones were shot down in Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Karachi, Chakwal, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chhor, and Mianwali. However, drones were disabled in Rawalpindi and Attock, said the DG ISPR.

Several Pakistan Army personnel were injured in a drone attack near Lahore, and one civilian was martyred and another injured in Sindh province, added the DG ISPR.
