Hajj 2025: How to get information on Hajj flights

ISLAMABAD: Amid the recent standoff between Pakistan and India, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has established a helpline to provide information to pilgrims regarding Hajj flights, which were disrupted the flight schedule.

The pilgrims can contact the provided helpline numbers “051-9216980”  by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to get updates on the flight operations and other related queries.

The helpline has been established in line with the directive of Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

The services will be available 24 hours of a day under the supervision of Director IT Jameel-ur-Rehman that to in two shifts.

The person in charge of the first shift is Hafiz Majid, who can be reached at +92-332-4509868, and the Assistant Director Malik Asad will head the second shift and can be contacted  +92-321-5365023.

The pilgrims are also required to maintain their contacts with their Haji camp for any updates.

Moreover, Pakistani aviation authorities have temporarily suspended flights at Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi airports after several Indian drone crashes were reported in Lahore and other cities in Punjab.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Lahore and Sialkot airports will not be available until 12:00 am on May 8.

The fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued, stating that several air routes within Lahore and Sialkot have been closed for commercial flights.

As a result of the restricted airspace, multiple Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights have been impacted. Several Lahore-bound flights have been rerouted to Islamabad airport.

The decision was taken after armed forces reportedly shot down an Indian spy drone in Lahore’s Naseerabad area in the wee hours of Thursday, prompting authorities to close educational institutions in the provincial capital.
