ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in several sectors of Islamabad owing to maintenance work on the main pipeline.
According to the company, gas supply would remain suspended from 9:30 pm on Saturday, November 8, to 10:00 am on Sunday, November 9. The interruption was necessary for maintenance work on the main pipeline at Shaheen Chowk, E-9, Islamabad.
This includes Sectors E-7, E-8, E-9, E-10 and F-8. Residents of the sectors are advised to make their own arrangements during this time and use gas appliances cautiously when the supply is restored.
SNGPL mentioned that the maintenance activity in the capital is part of its periodic system improvement plan to ensure a stable and safe gas supply. The company apologized for this inconvenience and promised to complete the work as soon as possible to minimize disruption.
