Strong earthquake of magnitude 4.4 jolts Swat, Buner

SWAT: Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, experienced earthquake tremors on Sunday afternoon at approximately 12:45 PM. Aftershocks were also observed in nearby locations.

On the Richter scale, the earthquake’s magnitude was 4.4, and its depth was 185 kilometers. According to the Seismological Center Islamabad, the Hindu Kush mountain range was the earthquake’s epicenter.

In another development, at approximately 1:45 PM, an earthquake occurred in Buner, which is approximately 100 kilometers away from Swat.

According to preliminary accounts, neither earthquake caused any damage or fatalities.
