Three dead after speeding bus ran over motorcyclists in Karachi

KARACHI: At least three people were killed and several injured after a speeding bus ran over several motorcyclists in Karachi’s Site area on Monday.

According to details, a passenger bus ran over multiple motorcyclists near Bhawani Chali in the port city killing two people on the spot, while a third succumbed to injuries.

Rescue officials immediately arrived at the scene, and shifted the deceased and the injured including pedestrians to the nearby hospital.

The initial reports suggested that the brakes of the bus had failed. The bus driver fled from the scene after the incident.

Police have launched investigations into the matter and a search is on for the bus driver.
