LAHORE: The Punjab University (PU) administration on Monday suspended three employees and initiated legal action against them for allegedly leaking two LLB examination papers.
The suspended employees — Key Punch Operator Athar, Naib Qasid Mohsin, and Junior Clerk Usman — handed over LLB papers to students in exchange for money.
University administration took action against three employees following the investigation by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Lahore. PU spokesperson said that the employees confessed their involvement in the crime during the investigation.
As per the Intelligence Bureau’s report, the first paper was sold for Rs35,000 and Rs6,000 by two employees, while the second paper was sold for Rs100,000 by the third employee. The annual LLB examinations for parts I, II, III, IV, and V started on Aug 23, 2024.
Moreover, PU had canceled the papers of the four students who purchased the leaked papers and had filed Unfair Means Cases (UMC) against them.
