Turkiye’s President Erdoğan greets CM Maryam Nawaz in Antalya

ANTALYA:  Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan during her visit to Antalya.

President Erdoğan greeted and congratulated the chief minister for her participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025.

He enquired about the health of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and conveyed his warmest wishes. Erdoğan said, “I will meet Nawaz Sharif soon, Insha’Allah.

Maryam Nawaz delivered her father’s message of friendship and expressed gratitude to the Turkish president for inviting her to the conference.

However, Maryam Nawaz met with Emine Erdogan, Turkey’s First Lady. The two leaders spoke about issues of common interest and shared sentiments of friendship.

Maryam Nawaz came in Antalya a day earlier and is now attending the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025.

She is set to speak at the international conference today, where she will emphasize her government’s efforts to boost education in Punjab and shed light on her party’s goal.

Earlier, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz arrived in Antalya on the invitation of the first lady of Turkiye, Emine Erdogan. The Chief Minister was received by the deputy Governor Antalya.
