ABU DHABI: Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued an emergency alert after missile and drone threats from Iran, but residents and visitors were later assured that the situation was safe.
According to private TV channel Dunya News, the Ministry of Defense said that the UAE’s air defense system engaged and intercepted the potential threats, after which mobile alerts and safety instructions were issued across the country.
According to the report, in the latest update, officials said that new safety SOPs have been issued specifically in Urdu for Pakistanis and Urdu-speaking and understanding people, according to which they should stay in safe places, rely only on verified official sources, and continue to take precautions until further instructions.
