Unidentified miscreants burn solved exam papers in North Waziristan school

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Unidentified assailants stormed a school in the North Waziristan district and set fire to the solved examination papers on Monday.

The accused set fire to the solved papers of 23 examination centers of the Bannu Education Board and escaped.

The incident happened in Government Higher Secondary School Eidak in Mir Ali Tehsil where more than 12 miscreants took the watchman hostage at gunpoint and stormed the school.

According to the FIR, unidentified miscreants entered the school by jumping the wall at 8:25 PM, took a security guard hostage broke the lock of the storeroom where solved papers were kept, and set fire to the room with incendiary materials.

However, police officials said, that matriculation question papers, also kept nearby, were moved to safety following the incident. 

Police have started an investigation into the matter. Bannu Education Board has not yet released any statement on the incident.
