Update on car & motorcycle driving license fees in Sindh for March 2024

KARACHI: The Driving License department of the Sindh Police is responsible for issuing licenses and permits to eligible drivers after assessing them through theoretical and practical tests. A driving license is a crucial document that grants individuals the authority to operate their vehicles on roads following tests designed to impart knowledge about road ethics and safety.

The driving license serves as an official authorization for the holder to drive various types of motor vehicles on public roads. The department issues licenses for different categories, including car and motorcycle. Applicants must obtain a learner’s license before applying for a permanent license. The fee for a new car and motorcycle learner’s license is set at Rs100.

Motorcycle & Car Permanent Driving License Fee in Sindh

For permanent driving licenses, the department offers two different validity periods: 3 years and 5 years, catering to people across the province. As of March 2024, the fee for a permanent driving license for cars and motorcycles is Rs1,410 for three years and Rs1,860 for five years.

Additionally, fixed charges are applicable for lamination, Nadra, medical examinations, and TCS services.
