Vlogger Chris Lewis rates PC hotel Karachi ‘dirty’

KARACHI: A video clip of American vlogger Christopher Lewis, widely known as Chris Lewis, sharing his experience of Pearl-Continental (PC) Hotel, Karachi has gone viral on social media.

Lewis, famous for his heartwarming travel vlogs in the host country’s local language, shared his experience during his fourth visit to Pakistan.

At the outset of his video, Lewis showed the check-in process which seemed too long due to security and other protocols, and booked a room at the luxurious facility for $150 (approx Rs41,800).

Further in this video, the vlogger exposed the dirty room, showing the greasy and oily stints on the furniture, uncomfortable chair, and stains on the food menu and table.

He praised the quality of the carpet in the room, but, the specks of blood all over the floor aghast him.

Furthermore, in the video, Chris Lewis filmed the underneath the rim of the washroom’s sink, which was covered with mold. He also showed the wrong positioning of the sink tap. The water coming from the tap was not landing in the middle as his hands almost touched the sink. The soap holder was also dirty with mold covering the corners along with hairs in the shower room, the video showed.

Prior to this, the vlogger exposed the Serena Hotels in Islamabad last year, terming it as the worst experience for a $300 room. Lewis said he visited Serena Hotel because of its five restaurants, but, the room service and food were mediocre comparing the high prices.
